The subject requirements selected from 9 common subjects including GAT, PAT3 with minimum score for the Chemical Engineering Program are displayed in the Table 1 below.

Table 1 The subject requirements at minimum score for TCAS system

Subject

Score

%

Mathematics I

≥30

25

Physics

≥30

25

Science

–

Biology

–

English

≥35

25

Chemistry

–

Social & Thai

–

GAT

–

PAT3

≥40

25

Total

100

The 9 common subjects as well as GAT/PAT3 are tested by the National Institute of Educational Testing Service or NIETS in order for universities to consider the applicants based on their score through the Clearing-House system. The interview process is organized by the Faculty of Engineering in collaboration with Department as well as the program. The successful candidates will be posted in June of every year. All capstone design projects are to cover the design of a real-world Chemical Engineering project that incorporates actual economic and design constraints as specified by all relevant design codes and standards. Students working in multidisciplinary teams are required to provide design solutions to open-ended, real world engineering problems based on multiple realistic constraints. Where feasible, these courses are team taught, with one member of the team a practicing professional engineer. To add to the realism of the design projects, students are required to address the project’s cost, its environmental impact, the associated social and political issues as well as providing a technically correct solution in accordance with the local zoning ordinance, subdivision regulations requirements. Each team is required to submit a written technical report and to make a public presentation of its design solution. Typically, the projects selected for EGCH 496 Chemical Engineering Project involve site development or other generic chemical engineering problems. In addition, the code and standards for the design are specified to meet the standardize implementation for real world situations.

The figures below show a flow chart for the curriculum and indicates all pre-requisite and co-requisite courses including the prerequisites for chemistry, physics, mathematics, chemical engineering lab, and chemical engineering tanning.

Prerequisite:
