The Bachelor of Engineering Program in Chemical Engineering (International Program) is now open to submit the applications. This is the 2nd Round Direct Admission by Faculty, academic year 2020. Faculty of Engineering hereby announces the details on admissions as following:

2. Admission Requirements
2.1 The applicant must achieve one of the academic qualifications as follows:
2.1.1 The applicant is currently studying or has graduated from Mathayom 6 in Science-Math program.
2.1.2 The applicant is currently studying or has earned a High School Certificate for Grade 12 in accordance with American education system.
2.1.3 The applicant is currently studying or has earned a High School Certificate for Year 13 in accordance with British education system.
2.1.4 The applicant has earned Diploma or a certificate equivalent to high school education certified by the Ministry of Education, Thailand.
2.2 The applicant must meet one of the following requirements (2.2.1, 2.2.2 or 2.2.3):
2.2.1 The applicant meets the English proficiency requirement by achieving the minimum score in one of the following English proficiency exams:
2.2.1.1 IELTS Academic Test at least 5.0
2.2.1.2 TOEFL Paper-based (TOEFL-ITP) at least 480
2.2.1.3 TOEFL Internet-based (TOEFL-iBT) at least 35
2.2.1.4 MU Grad Test at least 60
2.2.1.5 MU-ELT at least 87
2.2.1.6 TOEIC at least 600
Note: English proficiency examination should have been taken not more than 2 years before the interview date.
2.2.2 The applicant meets one of the following standardized test scores:
2.2.2.1 SAT ≥ 1,100 (Math ≥ 600)
2.2.2.2 SAT Subject Test in Math II, and Physics or Chemistry: ≥ 570 for each subject and at least one subject must be ≥ 600
2.2.2.3 GCSE/IGCSE in Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry ≥ C for each subject
2.2.2.4 ACT ≥ 21 by averaging in all subjects
Note: The examination should have been taken not more than 2 years prior to the application date.
2.2.3 For the applicant from partner school with Faculty of Engineering listed in Section 1.2, the applicant must meet all the following criteria:
2.2.3.1 Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPAX) ≥ 3.00
2.2.3.2 Grade Point Average (GPA) in Physics and/or Chemistry ≥ 2.00
2.3 The applicant must have no medical condition, disability, mental condition, alcoholism or addiction to narcotics or any substance abuse, color blindness, or non-communicable diseases without any preventive or treatment, e.g., epilepsy, heart disease, or nephropathy, which may interfere with education.
3. Supporting Documents
3.1 A copy of the most recent transcript showing the applicant’s grades in 5 semesters or 7 trimesters based on education system
3.2 A copy of certified diploma or certificate showing the completion of high school degree or equivalents approved by the Ministry of Education of Thailand (For applicants who have already graduated from high school or passed the equivalency exams)
3.3 A photocopy of identification card and house registration (Thai residents only) or a photocopy of passport (Non-Thai applicants)
3.4 1x1 inch, straight-faced photo
3.5 A photocopy of a change of name/last name certificate (only if different from name/last name in the documents required for application)
3.6 For the applicant from other schools (Section 1.1), the applicant must submit official report of one of the following tests:
3.6.1 English proficiency tests: IELTS, TOEFL-iBT, TOEFL-ITP, TOEIC, MU-ELT or MU Grad Test
3.6.2 SAT
3.6.3 GSCE/IGCSE
3.6.4 ACT
3.7 Statement of purpose (only 1 page of A4 paper size with 200-300 words) expressing the purpose of studying in chemical engineering program and expected career
3.8 Medical certificate approved by the hospital of any country to certify that the applicant has no health conditions, or color blindness, which may interfere with education.
The applicant must bring all original and/or copied documents and the original bank deposit slip on the interview day. All copied documents must be certified that they are true copies of the original documents, signed and dated.
4. Application Process

4.2 The applicant submits the complete application form and supporting documents (see Section 3) in person or by email:

6. Selection Criteria
The Faculty of Engineering will make the final decision for the admission according to the following criteria:
6.1 Academic knowledge assessed by English Proficiency Test, SAT, GCSE/IGCSE or ACT scores (70%)
6.2 Interview score assessed by personal information, education records, communication skills, initiative skills, intelligence, extracurricular activities and attitude. (30%)
