2. Admission requirements
2.1 The applicant must have earned one of the academic qualifications as follows:
2.1.1 The applicant is currently studying Mathayom 6 and holding Accumulated Grade Point Average (GPAX) not less than 2.80 out of 4.00 during at least 4 recent semesters.
2.1.2 The applicant is currently studying in the last academic year at an international high school in Thailand.
2.1.3 The applicant is currently studying in the last academic year at a high school abroad.
2.1.4 The applicant has earned a diploma or a certificate equivalent to high school education.
2.2 The applicant meets the English proficiency requirement by achieving a minimum score in one of the following English proficiency exams (if applicable):
2.2.1 IELTS Academic Test at least 5.0
2.2.2 TOEFL Paper-based (TOEFL-ITP) at least 500
2.2.3 TOEFL Computer-based (TOEFL-CBT) at least 173
2.2.4 TOEFL Internet-based (TOEFL-IBT) at least 35
2.2.5 SAT 1 at least 1100
2.2.6 CAE at least 52
2.2.7 TOEIC at least 600
2.2.8 MU GRAD Test at least 36
or other equivalent English proficiency tests.
Note: The examination must have been taken no more than 2 years before the interview date. In case of no English proficiency test, the applicant is still able to apply by submitting the rest of application documents to the program committee for consideration. If the program committee, however, accepts the applicant with English proficiency condition, English proficiency score must be fulfilled prior to graduation according to the Mahidol University Regulation.
2.3 The applicant must have no medical condition, disability, mental condition, alcoholism or addiction to narcotics or any substance abuse, which may interfere during education.
3. Application documents
3.1 For applicants with academic qualifications as specified in 2.1.1 - 2.1.3, a copy of the most recent transcript showing the applicant’s grade record for 4 semesters or 6 trimesters is required based on the education system.
3.2 For applicants with academic qualifications as specified in 2.1.4, a copy of diploma or certificate showing the completion of high school education or equivalent is required.
3.3 A photocopy of the identification card and house registration (Thai residents only) or a photocopy of passport (non-Thai applicants) showing the date of birth and passport’s expiration date.
3.4 A 1 inch x 1 inch of straight-faced photo
3.5 A photocopy of a change of name/last name certificate (only if different from name/last name in the documents required for application)
3.6 A copy of portfolio
3.7 Official report of one of the following English proficiency tests (if applicable):
• IELTS
• TOEFL
• SAT 1
• CAE
• TOEIC
• MU GRAD Test
or other equivalent English proficiency tests.
3.8 Statement of purpose (100-150 words), expressing the purpose of study in the Industrial Engineering Program with a major in Dairy and Beverage Engineering and expected future career.
3.9 Certificate from a hospital to certify that the applicant has no health condition, which may interfere during education.
Note: on the interview day, the applicant must bring all original and/or copied documents, and the original bank deposit slip. (All copied documents must be certified that they are true copies of the original documents, signed and dated.)

6. Selection criteria
The Faculty of Engineering will make the final decision on the admission using the total score of 100% with the consideration of the following categories:
6.1 Portfolio and Statement of Purpose: 40%
6.2 Academic record: 20%
6.3 English proficiency test score: 20%
6.4 Interview score: 20%
Note: The interview will be evaluated using personal and educational records, communication skills, creativity, academic activities, attitude, etc.
