Useful Resources

Facilities

The Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, is located in the Salaya Campus, Nakornpathom. It is only 15 minutes from Pinklao area through the elevated Barommarajchachonnani road. Bangkok’s outer ring road, Karnchanapisek road, is less than 10 minutes away.

Currently, the Faculty of Engineering has 7 departments and 6 programs. The Environmental and Water Resources Engineering Program is in the Department of Civil Engineering, located on the 3rd floor of Building 3.

Classrooms & Laboratories

The laboratory resources assist in teaching and research providing solutions for many challenges.  The Water/Wastewater Engineering Lab isbequipped with the standard instruments for analyzing the basic parameters, such as BOD, COD, TKN, TS, TSS, VSS, pH, turbidity, color andbelectrical conductivity, etc.

The laboratory also has the latest equipment for advanced testing techniques, including HPLC-MS/MS (Liquid Chromatography – Tandem Mass Spectrometry), ASE (accelerated Solvent Extraction), SPE (Solid Phase Extraction) Concentrator, TOC-VCSH(high sensitivity) for both liquid and solid samples, and Ultrapure (Type 1) water purification system. With the help these instruments, concentrations of the emerging micropollutants, such as, PFCs, PFOS, PFOA and PPCPs can be measured at trace levels (ng/L).

Library

The library at Salaya campus, Mahidol University, offers online computer search for databases and publications such as textbooks, journals, research reports, theses, research databases, CD-ROMs, videos, recorders, etc. There are total of 376,930 Thai and English books, out of which 3082 and 18,817, are Thai and English scientific textbooks, respectively. The library also subscribes to 25 Thai and 124 English scientific journals, and 16 Thai and 25 English engineering journals.
