The Ph.D. program in Electrical and Computer Engineering aims to equip doctoral graduates to have cutting-edge knowledge of engineering principles, digital technologies, and computational intelligence, and high-impact research expertise with advanced analytical skills and innovation-driven mindsets to become leaders in academia, industry, and government sectors to address complex real-world challenges in industry and society with ethical responsibility, and contribute meaningfully to technological progress, economic growth, and societal well-being, in alignment with global trends in engineering and digital transformation.

After graduating from the program, doctoral graduates achieve the standard qualifications of higher education as follows:

1. Have in-depth and integrated knowledge in electrical and computer engineering, particularly software, hardware, and artificial intelligence, to apply modern technologies to analyze, solve, and develop innovations to address complex technological and communication challenges in response to the needs of society and industry in the digital era. (Knowledge)
2. Posses innovative engineering skills in designing and developing technological solutions through comprehensive research processes, selecting appropriate analysis methods, testing hypotheses, and creating innovative research for the benefit of industry and national development. (Skills)
3. Have good conscience of ethical standards in academic work and profession and integrity and transparency in project management. (Ethics)
4. Possess leadership, digital literacy, academic communication, credibility of management, logical thinking, work responsibility, self-learning, and social contributing. (Character)

Number of Credits   

• Plan 1.1 (Dissertation only), for students holding Master degree, not less than 48 credits
• Plan 2.1 (Coursework and dissertation), for students holding Master degree, not less than 48 credits
• Plan 2.2 (Coursework and dissertation), for students holding Bachelor degree, not less than 72 credits

Complies with the Announcement of The Commission on Higher Education Standards on the subject of Criteria and Standards of Graduate Studies B.E. 2565, PhD Degree, Plan 1.1, Plan 2.1 and Plan 2.2 as below.

Academic Calendar ;

• Semester 1: August – December
• Semester 2: January – May
• The Program offers study time out of working day (after 04.00 pm and saturday-sunday).
