Highlighted Projects
Study on the Design and Development of Logistics Infrastructure, Integrated Information Systems, and Healthcare Big Data Guidelines for Thailand’s Digital Economy

This collaborative project with the Ministry of Public Health addresses critical healthcare logistics challenges in Thailand. The project aims to design and develop a Business Intelligence (BI) system as a Decision Support System (DSS) for key stakeholders. The system supports more efficient healthcare logistics management and promotes patient safety.

The BI infrastructure is designed to support big data integration from previously developed systems by the research team, including the national drug database, Material Management Information System (MMIS), Patient Information Leaflet Management System (PILMS), healthcare supply chain Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system, traceability systems for the healthcare supply chain, and other relevant information systems and infrastructure.

Development of the National eHealth Master Plan 2019–2028

This research project is a collaboration between the Cluster of Logistics and Rail Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, and the Ministry of Public Health. The project focuses on designing and developing Strategic Information Systems Planning (SISP) for Thailand’s public health sector under the 2019–2028 framework.

As a national blueprint, the master plan aims to improve the quality of Thailand’s public health system and establish a concrete digital health strategy aligned with the Thailand 4.0 policy and the Digital Economy initiative. It serves as a mechanism for strengthening the national health system, reforming digital technology operations, and supporting health innovation across the public health sector.

This research was supported by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).
