The 10th MU Safety Day, an occupational health and safety campaign, was held under the theme “MU Safety: Smart & Safe Together”.

The Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, would like to extend its congratulations to the laboratories that have been certified for laboratory safety standards under the Peer Evaluation scheme for the year 2025, totaling eight laboratories, as follows:

  1. Energy and Green Catalysis II (EGCatLAB 2), under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Sakhon Ratchahat
  2. Control and Advanced Simulation Engineering (CASE Lab), under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Pornchai Bumroongsri
  3. Bioresource and Biorefinery (BRES Lab), under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Chularat Sakdaronnarong
  4. Carbon Conversion Research and Technology Laboratory (CoReTech Lab), under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Woranart Jonglertjanya
  5. Bio-Based Chemical and Biofuel Engineering (BBE Lab), under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Nattee Akkarawatkhoosith
  6. Energy and Green Catalysis I (EGCatLab 1), under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Wanida Koo-amornpattana
  7. Organic Chemistry Lab, under the supervision of Chair of The Department of Chemical Engineering
  8. Pharmaceutical Technology and Engineering (PTEG Lab), under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Warangkana Pornputtapitak

In addition, the Department received one award for an Outstanding Laboratory in Safety Standards (ESPReL 2025), namely:

Waste-Derived Energy and Advanced Materials (WaDE&AM Lab), under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mali Hunsom

These recognitions were presented at the 10th MU Safety Day: Occupational Health and Safety Campaign, under the theme “MU Safety: Smart & Safe Together,” On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Prince Mahidol Hall.

This achievement reflects the Department’s strong commitment to enhancing laboratory safety standards in accordance with established criteria, as well as promoting a sustainable and safe working environment for all.
