Mahidol Chemical Engineering aims to develop research and innovation in production of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) by collaborating with Chulalongkorn University and PTTEP for greenhouse gas reduction

On Jul 5th, 2022, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sakhon Ratchahat and Asst. Prof. Dr. Weerawut Chaiwat, Energy and Green Catalytic Laboratory (EGCatLab), Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, as research specialists in the project of “Design and development of fluidized bed reactor for CNTs production from flare gas” and also research assistants were welcome supervisors, engineers, researchers, analysts, and intern students from Facility Engineering Department and Technology and Innovation Strategy Section PTT Exploration & Production Public Co.,Ltd. (PTTEP), including Prof. Dr.Tawatchai Charinpanitkul, Project leader, from Chulalongkorn University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prasert Pavasant, Project advisor, for updating project progress and visiting a demonstration of catalyst preparation and CNT production in laboratory scale. This project aims to scale-up CNT production from flare gas in petroleum production process into a pilot-scale in a near future with the objectives of greenhouse gas reduction and valorization of waste gas to advanced materials with various applications.
