On April 29, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, signed a memorandum of understanding with Khun Tanon Tanakornprapa, President of the Collegiate Esports and Youth Development Association.
Also at the meeting were Assistant Professor Dr. Krissada Asavaskulkeit, Advisor to the Dean for Organizational Network Development, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, and Khun Savinee Leemeechoke, Board Member and Treasurer of the Collegiate Esports and Youth Development Association, who signed as witnesses. The event took place at Innogineer Studio, Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
The purpose of this memorandum of understanding is to jointly develop a short-term Esports course and an undergraduate course in Product Creation. Short course camps will also be organized, and the faculty will cooperate with other agencies to increase specialized skills for government personnel, students, or citizens who are interested in Esports.
They will be able to develop basic knowledge, techniques and strategies for playing games, as well as more specialized skills. This will increase opportunities for those interested in this type of sport to have the opportunity to enter competitions at amateur, semi-professional or professional levels, and to become national athletes in the future.
