On May 6, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication along with Associate Professor Dr.Trakarn Prapaspongsa, Director of the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering (International Program) and Dr.Somboon Chaemchuen, Lecturer from the Chemical Engineering Department welcomed a delegation from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, People's Republic of China. Their visit was to discuss ways to expand future academic cooperation and exchanges, with representatives from the faculty and relevant agencies of Mahidol University.

The delegation from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, led by Prof. Yonghui Zhang, Vice President for International Affairs and Chair of Tongji Medical College, and executives from various agencies, participated in discussions with executives and lecturers of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, at OSM1 Meeting Room, Office of the President, Mahidol University.

The purpose of these discussions on academic cooperation was to exchange information on teaching, research, and approaches to cooperation at the graduate level, including student exchange programs. These are key issues that both universities share as a common interest. This is another important step in strengthening academic cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, which will benefit academic and international development in the future.
