Between 5-10 May 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Nari Hnoohom, Assistant to the President for Information Technology and Degital tranformation, and Professor Paisarn Muneesawang, Lecturer in the Department of Computer Engineering, traveled to the Commonwealth of Australia. They attended meetings and discussed academic cooperation with leading universities, including the University of Technology Sydney in Sydney, Curtin University, and the University of Western Australia in Perth, under the Mahidol University Reinventing University project for fiscal year 2024.
This trip is part of the Visiting Professor project on Digital and AI technologies. Discussions focused on curriculum development as well as student and faculty exchanges in Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Approaches to joint international research were also discussed in order to elevate the quality of engineering education to be on a par with international standards. These talks focused particularly on new challenges in the digital world.
This visit strengthens the network of cooperation with partner universities in Australia. It is also an important step in pushing Mahidol University to become a world-class educational institution, responding to the sustainable digital and innovation strategies sustainably of the country.
