On May 15, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Vice President for Research, Mahidol University, presided over the opening ceremony of the Mahidol Engineering Maker Expo 2022 Capstone Project Presentation, an exhibition of engineering projects by 4th-year students for the academic year 2025.
Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, gave a report. The purpose of the event was to promote the exchange of knowledge and research, as well as to make the Faculty of Engineering better known to the public. This year, there were 92 engineering project presentations and 14 pitching presentations on stage. The event, at the Prince Mahidol Hall, Mahidol University, Salaya, was attended by more than 400 people including experts from business establishments, alumni of the Faculty of Engineering, representatives from MOU schools and from other schools, as well as other interested people.
A lecture on the topic of Creating Inspiration for Life Perspectives After Graduation was given by Mr. Sutirapan Sakkawatra, Chief Customer Officer, Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited. A further talk on the topic of From Zero to Hero: From the First Day to the Day of Success was presented by Mr. Panthapol Prasarnrajkit (Ohm Cocktail), an inspirational artist.
The event also gathered outstanding innovative research work from young people, researchers, and makers that was displayed in an exhibition booth, providing them with an opportunity to meet entrepreneurs.
Awards for presentations of capstone projects in the form of pitching on stage are as follows:
Grand Prize, 10,000 baht in prize money, from the Department of Chemical Engineering, CHE08, topic: Development of Plastic Wastes-derived N-functionalized Carbon Nanotubes used as Multifunctional Fluorescent Chemosensors;
Gold Prize, 8,000 baht in prize money, 3 awards:
1. BME01 Diabetic Nephropathy Immunosuppression with Advanced Monocyte Membrane-enhanced Organ-specific Nanoparticles for Dexamethasone Delivery (diamond)

Silver Prize, 6,000 baht in prize money, 3 awards:
