On May 14, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, in a meeting of the management committees of the engineering departments, in Room R114, 1st floor, building 1, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, congratulated the lecturers and researchers who brought fame to the country on the international stage.
Those who were congratulated at this time were Associate Professor Dr. Jackrit Suthakorn, founder of the BART LAB, and Dr. Nantida Nillahoot from the BART LAB with the work that won the Gold Medal of Honor at the "50th International Exhibition of Invention Geneva" in Geneva, Switzerland.
The award-winning work is a Monofilament Sensory Sensory Detector: a medical innovation that helps diagnose diabetic patients. It can assess the levels of sensation at the nerve endings more accurately and conveniently.
This success reflects the potential of Thai researchers and the integration of knowledge from many areas, including biomedical engineering. The use of Robotics and Medical Technology can jointly develop technology to benefit public health and elevate Thai research to the world stage.
