On May 21, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, with Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Assistant Professor Dr. Rung Kittipichai, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Associate Professor Dr. Ittiphong Leevongwat, Lecturer of the Department of Electrical Engineering, welcomed visitors from the University of Durham, United Kingdom.

The group, led by Prof. Clive Roberts, Executive Dean (Science), included Prof. Markus Hausmann, Head, Department of Psychology, Mr. Richard Lancaster, Deputy Head of Transnational Education in the International Office, and Ms. Lim Ching Mei, Regional Director, SEA. Their visit was to exchange knowledge and discuss academic cooperation between the two institutions. The meeting took place in Room 210, Building 1, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.

During the discussion, overviews of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University and the University of Durham were introduced. This outline session was followed by discussions on future cooperation. These included the PhD student exchange program, joint research and research funding sources, and the development of dual degree programs in the future. These topics reflected the shared goal of the two establishments of developing engineering potential at the international level.
