On June 2, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University, along with Associate Professor Dr. Benchaporn Lertanantawong, Acting as Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services, Associate Professor Dr. Norased Na Songkla, and Dr. Pracha Yambangyangfrom the Department of Biomedical Engineering, visited Imperial College London, United Kingdom. The visit was to enhance collaboration in international research and academic collaboration.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Professor Pantelis Georgiou, Professor of Biomedical Electronics at Imperial College, who engaged in discussions on potential research partnerships in the area of biosensors—a key technology in modern medicine and healthcare. The team also explored ongoing research projects involving real-time gait and respiratory analysis using unobtrusive sensing technologies, and toured the Acoustic Anechoic Chambers, specially designed for precision sound testing.
During the visit, the Mahidol Engineering team also had the opportunity to meet with alumni of the Faculty of Engineering currently studying at Imperial College. The meeting included discussions on building a global research network and future academic collaborations.
