On June 10, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Krissada Asavaskulkeit, Advisor to the Dean for Organizational Network Development, joined the official launch event of the "BUFF TO BUILD NUMBER ONE" project at MCC HALL, 3rd Floor,
The Mall Lifestore Bangkapi. The project aims to promote esports as a powerful tool to develop digital skills in Thai youth and enhance their technological potential. This collaboration is part of the TO BE NUMBER ONE initiative and the Collegiate Esports and Youth Development Association (CEYDA). The event was honored by the presence of high-level executives such as Dr. Thanakrit Jitareerat, Vice Minister to the Minister of Public Health, and Dr. Kittisak Agsornwong, Director General of the Department of Mental Health. Both shared their vision of using esports to inspire and empower the younger generation to reach their full potential.
A highlight of the event was the unveiling of the project’s roadmap by CEYDA’s president, alongside Tum-Warawut Pho-yim (Tum The Star), who outlined plans to push Thailand’s esports industry on the global stage. Their vision includes nurturing Thai youth with essential skills in technology, teamwork, and creativity to meet future challenges in the digital era.
The participation of Mahidol University’s Faculty of Engineering reflects the education sector’s readiness to support and drive youth development through creative and sustainable esports initiatives. This effort underscores the crucial role of academic institutions in shaping the next generation of skilled digital professionals for the country’s future.
