On June 19, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, welcomed executives and faculty members from Ubon Ratchathani University for a study visit and knowledge-sharing session focused on preparation for ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accreditation. The meeting took place at Room R114, 1st Floor, Building 1, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
The event opened with welcoming remarks by Assistant Professor Dr. Korporn Panyim, Deputy Dean for Administration and Finance, who emphasized the Faculty's dedication to developing internationally recognized engineering programs. Following this, Assistant Professor Dr. Theeraporn Rubcumintara, Advisor to the Dean for Organizational Development and Educational Quality, shared insights into the necessary preparations and strategic planning required to meet ABET standards. The session also included practical advice and best practices for the visiting delegation from Ubon Ratchathani University to follow.
A key highlight was the exchange of real-world experiences in pursuing and maintaining ABET accreditation, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Wasaporn Techapeeraparnich, Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, along with heads of departments and program chairs from Mahidol Engineering. These discussions provided a valuable perspective on aligning curriculum development with international quality standards.
The visit concluded with an open Q&A session, allowing participants to seek clarifications and share ideas, followed by a group photograph to commemorate this academic collaboration. This activity underscored the commitment of both universities to advancing engineering education excellence on the global scale.
