On June 19, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, held a special meeting with experts from the Association of Thai Professionals in America and Canada. The session focused on sharing insights and strategies to prepare for the renewal of ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accreditation, ensuring that the Faculty’s engineering programs meet international standards. The meeting took place at Room R114, 1st Floor, Building 1.
Assistant Professor Dr. Wasaporn Techapeeraparnich, Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, welcomed the guests. In her address, she emphasized the strong commitment Mahidol Engineering has to maintaining a high-quality curriculum that prepares Thai engineering graduates to compete successfully on the global stage.
In addition, Assistant Professor Dr. Theeraporn Rubcumintara, Advisor to the Dean for Organizational Development and Educational Quality, along with Associate Professor Dr. Jackrit Suthakorn, Founder of the Center for Biomedical and Robotics Technology (BART LAB), department heads, and faculty members, also participated in the meeting to exchange knowledge and insights.
The session featured key presentations by Professor Dr. Methee Vacharattana, Associate Professor Dr. Weera Chankong, and Professor Dr. Rattikorn Hewett - renowned scholars from the Association of Thai Professionals in America and Canada. They shared valuable guidance on the ABET reaccreditation process, including best practices for implementing Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and assessing student learning outcomes which are essential components for sustaining educational excellence.
The meeting concluded with an open forum for questions and discussion, allowing participants to clarify procedures and deepen their understanding of effective ABET accreditation management. This collaborative exchange reinforced the readiness and determination of Mahidol Engineering to uphold world-class education standards for future engineers.
