From August 2 to 5, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean, and Associate Professor Dr. Benchaporn Lertanantawong, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services, participated in the prestigious international conference IEEE Biosensor 2025, held in San Diego, California, USA. This event served as a global platform for sharing knowledge and advancements in biosensors and biological sensing technologies.
The Faculty’s presence aimed to foster academic and research collaboration with leading universities worldwide. It provided an excellent opportunity to showcase Thailand's research initiatives on the global stage and to exchange insights on managing research and innovation at the faculty level. These efforts are part of Mahidol Engineering’s broader mission to elevate its education and research standards to meet international benchmarks.
During the visit, the Mahidol team also held a productive meeting with Professor Dr. Joseph Wang and his research group from the Department of Chemical and Nanoengineering at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Discussions focused on expanding collaboration between researchers and the biomedical engineering and health-tech industries—fields that are increasingly crucial in advancing healthcare innovations for public well-being.
Participation in IEEE Biosensor 2025 not only reflects the Faculty's growing international presence but also highlights its commitment to translating research into real-world applications.
