On August 13, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, and Assistant Professor Dr. Siradol Siridhara, Head of The Cluster of Logistics and Rail Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University. welcomed Ms. Premila Kanapathy, Regional Director of the University of Leeds SEA Regional Office, during her visit to Mahidol University. The meeting was to discuss potential academic collaborations between the two institutions. The meeting was held at Room R210, 2nd Floor, Building 1 of the Faculty of Engineering.

Discussions focused on strengthening partnerships in multiple disciplines, with particular emphasis on cooperation in Railway and Transport Studies. The meeting also explored the possibility of launching a 2+2 undergraduate program, as well as agreements that would enable students to pursue postgraduate studies at the University of Leeds.

During the visit, the University of Leeds delegation met with representatives from Mahidol University International College (MUIC) and the College of Music. These meetings expanded the scope of dialogue to other academic fields, including Biosciences, Business, Music, and Performing Arts, reinforcing a shared vision for multidisciplinary collaboration.
