29 August 2025: The Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, organized a collaborative meeting and innovation showcase focusing on food, medical, and health technologies at the Innogineer Studio. The event was held in partnership with the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (INT) and Charoen Pokphand Group Co., Ltd.
Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, delivered the opening remarks. He was joined by Associate Professor Dr. Benchaporn Lertanantawong, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services, Assistant Professor Dr. Warakorn Charoensuk, Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Associate Professor Dr. Chularat Sakdaronnarong, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, and Assistant Professor Dr. Konlakorn Wongpatikaseree, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering. Faculty members and staff participated in the collaborative discussions.
Associate Professor Dr. Krissada Asavaskulkiet, Deputy Director for Academic Service and Industry Partnership, outlined the objectives of the visit. These included exploring opportunities for research collaboration and knowledge exchange that can be translated into commercial applications. The delegation also welcomed Dr. Yue Jun Jiang, CTO, and Mr. Boonchai Opas-iam-likit, members of the Executive Board of CP Group’s U.S. Business, who emphasized CP Group’s commitment to driving innovation in sectors that enhance public health and quality of life.
Throughout the event, Mahidol Engineering faculty members and researchers presented a wide range of innovations addressing critical societal and industrial needs. Highlights included projects from Assistant Professor Dr. Chamras Promptmas, Advisor to the Dean for Organizational Mission Support and faculty member of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Associate Professor Dr. Norased Nasongkla and Associate Professor Dr. Panrasee Ritthipravat from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Konlakorn Wongpatikaseree from the Department of Computer Engineering, and Professor Mohammad Nagi Eshtiaghi from the Department of Chemical Engineering. The showcased projects covered food innovations, medical devices, and health technology, demonstrating the Faculty’s commitment to research that delivers real-world impact.
The meeting concluded with a discussion on future collaboration between Mahidol Engineering, iNT, and CP Group. The three parties aim to jointly advance research and innovation, translating academic findings into sustainable, tangible outcomes that address current and future societal challenges.
