On October 6, 2025, the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, hosted the “Welcome & Farewell Party 2025” — a celebration to congratulate graduating students and welcome new students into the Mahidol Engineering family. The event brought together faculty members and students from Thailand and abroad in a lively and joyous atmosphere filled with smiles, friendship, and shared pride.

The ceremony was officially opened by Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. He delivered congratulatory remarks to the graduates, and a warm welcome message to the new students beginning their academic journey. This was followed by speeches from Assistant Professor Dr. Wasaporn Techapeeraparnich, Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs; Associate Professor Dr. Teraphan Ornthammarath, Department Chair, Civil and Environmental Engineering; and Professor Dr. Chettiyappan Visvanathan. Each shared words of encouragement and expressed best wishes for the future endeavors of the graduates.

The highlight of the event was a musical performance by Dr. Sri Shalini Sathyanarayanan. Her song of blessing added a memorable note to the celebration. The Dean and Faculty members presented the graduates with souvenirs symbolizing pride as well as appreciation for their hard work and achievements.

Adding to the spirit of connection, program chairs from three graduate programs, and student representatives shared their reflections on learning experiences, gratitude toward mentors, and inspiration to continue pursuing excellence in their future careers. The event reflected the strong bonds and sense of community that define the Mahidol Engineering family.
