On 11 October 2016, International Masters Program in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering (EGEW) of Mahidol University and Global School of Global Environmental Studies (GSGES) of Kyoto University co-organised a satellite seminary entitled “Environmental Engineering and Technology for Sustainable Development” in order to present research and exchange knowledges among researchers and students from various research laboratories of these two institutions.
After the seminar, a joint meeting to prepare the upcoming "International Symposium, Workshop, and Study Fair & Tour" co-organized by Kyoto University and Mahidol University on 13-15 Nov 16 was conducted and followed by laboratory visits. Asst. Prof. Dr. Trakarn Prapaspongsa, head of MU EcoLab (Eco-Efficient Engineering Research Lab), visited various laboratories of Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies and Department of Environmental Engineering at Kyoto University. The visit was a part of research collaboration in the fields of waste recycling, waste-to-energy, environmental design engineering, material flow analysis (MFA) and life cycle assessment (LCA) which will be undertaken under the double-degree program between Mahidol University and Kyoto University in 2017.
