On November 7, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, with Assistant Professor Dr. Pornthip Keangin, Deputy Dean for Innovation Incubation and Alumni Relations, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. The signing ceremony took place at Meeting Room 103, Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Salaya Campus. Executives from both institutions were in attendance. This collaboration will strengthen academic and research cooperation between the two disciplines - engineering and nursing - both of which play vital roles in driving innovation in modern healthcare.
During the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Manee Arpanantikul, Chair of the Committee for the Development of the International Ph.D. Program in Nursing (BSN to Ph.D.), delivered the opening remarks and outlined the purpose of the collaboration. The event was formally opened by Associate Professor Dr. Poolsuk Janepanish Visudtibhan, Director of Ramathibodi School of Nursing, who emphasized the shared vision of developing education and research for healthcare and engineering development.
In his address, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon expressed his enthusiasm for this new chapter of interdisciplinary cooperation, stating that this MOU marks an important milestone that bridges the gap between engineering and nursing science. “The Faculty of Engineering is delighted to collaborate with the Ramathibodi School of Nursing to integrate engineering expertise with nursing knowledge, paving the way for innovative technologies that will enhance the quality and sustainability of healthcare systems,” he said.
The partnership aims to support academic development, promote joint research projects, and create practical innovations that can be applied to real-world healthcare systems.
