On 17 November 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Chularat Sakdaronnarong, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, together with Lecturer Gunn Kanatarntip, Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering and other members of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, visited Carl Zeiss Co., Ltd. The delegation explored the company’s facilities to gain insights into operations within a world-class industrial organization.

During the visit, which was organized by the Office of Education, the team was able to see various engineering tools and equipment. They learned about the advanced technologies and operational processes used in Zeiss’s manufacturing and research activities. This experience allowed the faculty members to understand better real industrial workflows and the skills required for engineering careers.

The delegation also held discussions with the Human Resources team at Zeiss and with company executives regarding future internships and cooperative education opportunities, to provide Mahidol Engineering students with practical experience and professional skill development.

Carl Zeiss executives expressed strong support for educational collaboration. They announced plans to provide education software to enhance teaching and learning. This initiative is expected to develop the engineering capabilities of students and prepare them for global competition.
