The Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, welcomed representatives from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) - HKUST(GZ) for a meeting to explore opportunities for academic collaboration between the two institutions. The delegation was received by Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, who led the formal discussion in the OSM 1 Meeting Room, Office of the President, Mahidol University.

The delegation from Guangzhou was led by Professor Ting Chuen Pong, Vice-President (Administration & Business), and Professor Angela Ng, Assistant Vice-President for Institutional Advancement (Global Engagement). During the meeting, both parties exchanged information and discussed initiatives for future cooperation at undergraduate, graduate, and research levels.

Key discussion topics included student mobility programs for undergraduate and graduate students, opportunities for short-term study programs, faculty exchange and visiting professor opportunities at HKUST(GZ). Potential areas of joint research collaboration in fields of shared expertise were also discussed.

This meeting marks an important step toward strengthening academic ties between Mahidol University and HKUST(GZ), opening new possibilities for students, faculty members, and researchers from both institutions to collaborate in advancing education, research, and innovation on an international scale.
