The Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, welcomed executives from the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) for a campus visit and academic collaboration discussion on November 17, 2025. The meeting took place at the OSM 1 Meeting Room, Office of the President, Mahidol University, with representatives from both institutions in attendance. The session aimed to strengthen academic partnerships and explore new opportunities for curriculum development and academic exchange.
The discussion was led by Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication. THEi’s leadership was represented by Professor Alan Lau, President of THEi, and Professor Paul Tsang, Vice President (Academic). Both parties shared insights and explored potential frameworks for long-term collaboration.
Key topics included identifying new areas of cooperation between THEi and Mahidol University, particularly in emerging disciplines with strong industry demand. Potential future curriculum developments discussed included artificial intelligence and organizational management, global logistics technology, and electric vehicle design and technology. These fields reflect rapid changes in global industry and align with the skill sets required by the evolving workforce.
This visit marks an important milestone in expanding the partnership between the two institutions, building a foundation for future academic, research, and student exchange opportunities at the international level.
