On 24 November 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, welcomed a delegation from Harbin Engineering University (HEU), People’s Republic of China. He was accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication and Assistant Professor Dr. Sotarat Thammaboosadee, Assistant Dean for Organizational Digital Transformation, The event in Room R-210, Building 1, was to discuss ongoing academic cooperation and explore opportunities for deeper collaborative development between the two institutions.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), covering key areas such as the 2+2 Joint Degree Program, credit transfer opportunities through the Credit Bank system, and joint research collaboration between faculty members and researchers of both universities. The initiatives will enhance academic quality and strengthen the development of skilled engineering personnel.
The HEU delegation included Professor Liu Shusheng from the College of International Cooperative Education; Professor Liu Zhilin from the College of Intelligent Systems Science and Engineering; Professor Wu Guohui from the College of Aerospace and Civil Engineering; Professor Qiao Yulong from the College of Information and Communication Engineering; and Associate Professor Xu Dexin from the College of Intelligent Systems Science and Engineering.
This visit is further reinforcement of the partnership between Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University and Harbin Engineering University. The collaboration provides students and faculty members with access to international programs, global academic standards, and strong joint research opportunities. This supports the commitment of Mahidol Engineering to become a leading international institution in engineering education and research.
