On December 24, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University officially inaugurated the Delta Power Electronics and Automation Laboratory. The opening ceremony was attended by Mahidol University executives, executives from Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited, faculty members, and students. The event was marked by a warm and collaborative atmosphere, reflecting the strong cooperation between Mahidol Engineering and the industrial sector.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Mr. Cheng An, CEO of the Delta Electronics (Thailand). Dr. Supun Tiptipakorn, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering also attended. The guests performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony together. This symbolized the official launch of the laboratory and the beginning of its important role in education and research.
The Delta Power Electronics and Automation Laboratory was established as a center for learning, research, and development in the fields of power electronics and automation. The laboratory focuses on modern and future-oriented technologies, including power electronics for electric vehicles (EVs), energy management systems, and industrial automation.
As a hands-on learning hub, the laboratory will enhance practical skills and prepare students and staff of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University for real-world industrial demands. This collaboration represents a significant step in aligning engineering education with future industry needs while strengthening sustainable academic-industry partnerships.
