On February 16, 2026. The Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University welcomed representatives from Korea Aerospace University (KAU), Republic of Korea. Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, met the delegation. He was accompanied by Dr. Rojjalak Chuckpaiwong, Deputy Dean for Strategic Management and Quality Assurance; Assistant Professor Dr. Wasaporn Techapeeraparnich Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs; and Assistant Professor Dr. Siradol Siridhara, Chair of the Logistics and Rail Engineering Division. The meeting was held in Room R210, Building 1 of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
The KAU delegation was led by Professor Junjae Chae, Director of The ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Programme, along with faculty members in logistics. Korea Aerospace University is recognized as one of the leading institutions in the Republic of Korea in the field of logistics and is committed to expanding its academic network with higher education institutions across the ASEAN region. Mahidol University is regarded as a key partner in advancing this mission.
The purpose of the visit was to explore the feasibility of establishing a student exchange program and to discuss the academic environment, teaching and learning systems, and support services for international students. The Faculty of Engineering also introduced its academic programs and research capabilities in logistics and rail transportation systems, highlighting its strengths in curriculum development, research excellence, and strong collaborations with industry partners.
The discussions took place in a constructive atmosphere, reflecting the shared commitment to strengthening international academic cooperation. The meeting is expected to pave the way for future student and faculty exchanges, as well as joint research and innovation initiatives in logistics, that will further enhance academic excellence at regional and international levels.
