From February 23 to 26, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University welcomed Dr. Muhammad Ayub Ansari, a lecturer from the Department of Computer Science at Glasgow Caledonian University, UK. This visit took place under the MU x GCU Visiting Faculties Programme, aimed at fostering international research collaboration and enhancing educational experiences. The delegation was led by Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, the Dean, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication; Assistant Professor Dr. Wasaporn Techapeeraparnich, Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs; and Associate Professor Dr. Benchaporn Lertanantawong, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services.
During his visit, Dr. Ansari toured the Department of Computer Engineering, where he was received by Assistant Professor Dr. Konlakorn Wongpatikaseree, the head of the department, and Assistant Professor Dr. Narit Hnoohom, a faculty member and Assistant to the President for Information Technology and Digital Transformation. They engaged in discussions about potential academic and research collaborations, as well as visited relevant laboratories to exchange knowledge and experiences in computer science with students and faculty.
In addition, Dr. Ansari participated in discussions with the Biomedical Engineering Department. These meetings focused on cross-disciplinary research collaboration, laboratory visits, and knowledge exchange with faculty members from the department. This collaboration is seen as a vital opportunity to build an international network and advance research addressing future health and technology challenges.
Furthermore, Dr. Ansari met with the Electrical Engineering Department, where he discussed cooperation strategies with Associate Professor Dr. Ittiphong Leevongwat, the deputy head of the department. This visit reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University to expand partnerships with leading global institutions and continuously enhance the international learning experiences for students and staff.
