Mr. Worawit Isarangkul Na Ayutthaya, Advisor to the Dean for Social Responsibility at the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, was honored with an invitation to be a Judge in the 1st-ever, Arduino Education Day Philippines 2026 competition. The event took place from March 12-15, 2026, at the IEC Convention Center (IC3) in Cebu City, Philippines, with the theme of Empowering Innovation Skills: AI and Beyond. The event was to promote skills in innovation and technological capabilities which are essential for the future.
More than 2,000 participants from the Philippines and other Asian countries attended this inaugural event. Those taking part, included school administrators, teachers, students, university researchers, industry partners, government agencies, and technology communities. Participants engaged in knowledge exchange and held discussions on Arduino, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), AIoT, and STEAM Education: recognized as key drivers of future industries.
The program featured Global and National Plenary Sessions led by technology leaders from international organizations. There were also representatives from digital policy sectors such as DEPA Thailand. These sessions explored the role that AI and Edge Computing have in transforming education and industry. Participants discussed strategies for building a future- ready education ecosystem through collaboration between government agencies, industry partners, and university networks across the ASEAN region.
The event hosted a high-level panel discussion on “Building a Future-Ready Education Ecosystem”. It also included cultural presentations that highlighted the heritage and identity of Cebu City. These activities reflected the integration of technology, innovation, and cultural identity. Participation in this event marked another important step for the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, in expanding international collaboration and strengthening the role of Thai universities on the regional stage of technology and education in Asia.
