On March 26, 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, visited LIMNO Co., Ltd. in Tottori, Japan. He was accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication; Associate Professor Dr. Jackrit Suthakorn, Founder of the Center for Biomedical and Robotics Technology (BART LAB); and Dr. Nantida Nillahoot, Innovation Director of BART LAB. The visit was to strengthen collaboration in industrial engagement and research development.
During the visit, the delegation held discussions with Mr. Tsutomu Dobashi, Director and Managing Executive Officer, along with Ms. Eiko Misaki, General Manager, and Mr. Nobuharu Inagaki, Chief Planner. The meeting focused on exchanging perspectives and identifying opportunities to enhance cooperation between academia and industry.
The discussions emphasized translating research outcomes into practical medical products that can be commercialized. Key areas included biomedical innovation, product design and prototyping, testing and validation processes, as well as leveraging the strengths of both institutions to add value to research and development efforts.
Both parties also examined long-term collaboration strategies, including joint research initiatives and co-development of innovations with industry partners. These efforts aim to produce impactful outcomes that address national and global needs.
