On 23 April 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, welcomed Professor Dr. Phillip Choi, Dean and Professor of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science from the University of Regina, Canada. The Dean was accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Associate Professor Dr. Chularat Sakdaronnarong, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Dr. Supun Tiptipakorn, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, and other faculty members. Also attending was Associate Professor Dr. Teerawat Sema from the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University. The visit took place in Room R210, Building 1 of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
The meeting brought together executives and department representatives from Mahidol University, along with delegates from the University of Regina and Chulalongkorn University. They exchanged perspectives on potential collaboration in teaching, research, and capacity building in engineering. Particular emphasis was placed on electrical engineering and chemical engineering: fields in which both Mahidol Engineering and the University of Regina have strong expertise.
Following discussions, the delegation toured the laboratories of the Departments of Chemical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. The visit provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge on research, technology, and innovation, while also considering future collaborative initiatives.
This visit marks another significant step in strengthening the international collaboration network of the Faculty of Engineering. It is expected that this will lead to joint research projects, student and staff exchanges, and the continued development of educational quality in alignment with global standards.
