On 20 May 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, visited Curtin University to expand the Faculty’s international academic collaboration network. The Dean was accompanied by Assistant Professor Narit Hnoohom, Assistant to the President for Information Technology and Digital Transformation; Assistant Professor Konlakorn Wongpatikaseree, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering; and Professor Paisarn Muneesawang of the Department of Computer Engineering.
The visit was to exchange knowledge in engineering, technology, and innovation, as well as to discuss future opportunities for collaborative education and research initiatives between the two institutions. The delegation explored the teaching and learning facilities, and the research laboratories at Curtin University. They looked at the university’s approaches to advancing modern innovation and technology. Curtin University is internationally recognized for its excellence in engineering, science, and technology education and research.
Both institutions exchanged ideas on promoting student and staff exchange programs, developing international curricula, and creating collaborative research and innovation opportunities that could contribute to future sustainable industrial and societal development.
The Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, remains committed to advancing its education and research to international standards while providing students and staff with opportunities to learn through partnerships with leading universities worldwide. These collaborations will strengthen the engineering and technological capabilities of the Faculty to respond effectively to the continuous changes of the modern world.
