On 27 May 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication at the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, welcomed Professor Frank Vetere, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global) of the University of Melbourne. A meeting was held with executives and representatives from Mahidol University at the OSM1 Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Office of the President, Mahidol University.
The meeting was to exchange perspectives and to discuss potential academic and international collaborations between the two institutions in the areas of education, research, and global engagement. Representatives from the College of Music, the Global Partnerships Division, Mahidol University, and other related departments also participated in the discussion to examine potential strategic partnerships.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged ideas on the development of Dual Degree and Double Degree programs, the establishment of a Joint PhD Program, as well as opportunities for collaboration in the fields of arts and music with related faculties and departments. Another key topic of discussion focused on supporting student exchange activities and enhancing the international learning experience for Mahidol University students.
This meeting marks another significant step in strengthening the academic and international partnership between Mahidol University and the University of Melbourne, with a shared commitment to advancing education, research, and innovation in the future.
