Mahidol Engineering Welcomes Research Delegation from the University of Texas at Austin to Discuss Future Research Collaboration
On 9 June 2026, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, welcomed a research delegation from the University of Texas at Austin, USA, for a collaborative meeting aimed at strengthening research partnerships and exploring future joint initiatives. The meeting was held at Room R210, Building 1, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
Representing the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University were Associate Professor Dr. Benchaporn Lertanantawong, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services; Assistant Professor Dr. Konlakorn Wongpatikaseree, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering; and Professor Paisarn Muneesawang, a member of the Department of Computer Engineering. The Mahidol delegation welcomed the visitors from the University of Texas at Austin: Assistant Professor Nuttada Panpradist along with Preeratee Rojpanich, Jignesh Chowdary Gutta, and Rhutuja Patil.
During the meeting, both institutions exchanged updates on ongoing collaborative research project. They discussed opportunities to expand academic and research cooperation. The discussions focused on strengthening partnerships, promoting knowledge exchange, and identifying new areas of mutual research interest that could lead to meaningful outcomes.
The visit marks another significant step in developing international research network of the Faculty of Engineering. By improving collaboration between researchers from both institutions, the partnership will be able to improve innovation, support high-quality research, and contribute to positive academic and societal impacts globally.
