On 25 June 2026, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), organized the closing ceremony for the Annual International Training Courses (AITC 2026). This was run under the theme “AI for Science & Digital Innovation: Empowering International Economic & Social Transformation.” The ceremony was held at Innogineer Studio, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University. It was attended by participants from various countries following the successful completion of the training program, which featured extensive learning activities and international knowledge exchange.
Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, and Mr. Grisada Phakakarn, Director of Human Resources Development Cooperation Division, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), delivered congratulatory remarks and officially closed the program. Both speakers emphasized the vital role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital innovation in driving economic and social development, as well as the importance of strengthening international cooperation in science, technology and innovation to address the challenges of the digital era in a sustainable manner.
During the ceremony, Mr. Grisada Phakakarn and Assistant Professor Dr. Woranart Jonglertjunya, Chair of the Board of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, jointly presented certificates to the participants in recognition of their successful completion of the training program. The certificate presentation highlighted the achievements and dedication of all participants throughout the course.
The successful implementation of AITC 2026 reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University to serving as a regional hub for international capacity building and professional development. The program also cultivated the exchange of knowledge and best practices in AI and digital technologies among the participants from several countries. The event concluded with a group photo session, symbolizing the friendships, professional connections, and international partnerships established during the program, which are expected to continue growing in the future.
