On August 3, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, in collaboration with Imperial College London and Mahanakorn University of Technology, co-hosted the IEEE BioSensors 2026 International Conference. This is a premier global forum that is dedicated to advances in biosensor research and innovation. The conference was held at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel, Bangkok.

Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, attended the opening ceremony as a guest of honor. Associate Professor Dr. Benchaporn Lertanantawong, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services, served as the Technical Program Co-Chair of the conference. Associate Professor Dr. Surachoke Thanapitak, a faculty member from the Department of Electrical Engineering, also participated in the event that was attended by university executives, researchers, industry experts, and representatives from domestic and international organizations.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. The conference brought together scientists, engineers, medical professionals, researchers, students, and entrepreneurs from around the world to exchange knowledge, promote international collaboration, and explore the latest scientific and technological breakthroughs in biosensors.
