On August 14, 2026, members of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, welcomed a delegation from the College of Polymer Science and Engineering, Sichuan University, People’s Republic of China, during their visit to the Faculty. The visit provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge and perspectives in education and research, while exploring potential areas for future collaboration between the two institutions. The program was held at Meeting Room R210, Building 1, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, welcomed the delegation. She delivered an introduction to the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University which highlighted the Faculty’s academic programs, research strengths, and international partnerships. This provided an overview of the capabilities of the Facultyand the opportunities for international academic and research collaboration.
Following the presentation, the delegation visited several research laboratories across the Faculty. The tour included the BRES Lab (CH-114), AMBIO Lab (CH-106), and CARP Lab (CH-116) in the Department of Chemical Engineering. The delegation learned about ongoing research and innovation activities related to materials, polymers, and related technologies. The delegation also visited the LCMD Lab (ME-220) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Electrical Engineering Laboratory (EE-510).
The visit also included the Laboratory for Biocompatibility Testing of Medical Devices at BME Bay, Building 2, in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, which supports research and testing on the biocompatibility of medical devices. The visit marked another important step in strengthening the relationship between Mahidol Engineering and Sichuan University, while opening new opportunities for collaboration in education, research, and innovation.
