Mahidol Engineering Welcomes Florida International University to Promote Scholarship Opportunities and International Collaboration
On August 14, 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication at the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, welcomed a delegation from Florida International University (FIU), USA. She was accompanied by Associate Professor Dr. Benchaporn Lertanantawong, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services; Assistant Professor Dr. Wasaporn Techapeeraparnich, Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs; as well as department chairs and faculty members. The visit was to discuss ideas on academic and research collaboration and exchange ideas, as well as to promote educational opportunities for students and researchers. The meeting was held at Meeting Room R210, Building 1, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
During the visit, representatives from Florida International University met with the Faculty’s executives and academic staff to explore potential areas of cooperation. The discussion focused on strengthening academic partnerships, developing collaborative research initiatives, and creating future networking opportunities between the two institutions.
The Faculty also hosted a special seminar: “Scholarship Opportunities for Students and Researchers at the College of Engineering and Computing, Florida International University (FIU), USA.” The session provided valuable information on scholarship and research funding opportunities for students and researchers interested in pursuing further studies or conducting research at the College of Engineering and Computing, at Florida International University.
The visit reflects the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University’s ongoing commitment of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University to expanding partnerships with leading international institutions. Through such collaborations, the Faculty seeks to provide students and researchers with greater access to global academic opportunities, research resources, and international experience, while continuing to enhance its educational and research excellence on a global scale.
