On 17 August 2026, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, held a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony between the Department of Computer Engineering and the Department of Electrical Engineering at Room R210, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University. The collaboration aims to develop educational management, research development, and joint curriculum initiatives in response to technological advancements and future industry demands.
The ceremony was witnessed by Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Assistant Professor Dr. Wasaporn Techapeeraparnich, Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs. Assistant Professor Dr. Konlakorn Wongpatikaseree, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, and Dr. Supun Tiptipakorn, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, highlighted the background and significance of this partnership. The collaboration will integrate knowledge and expertise of both disciplines, enhance the quality of teaching and learning, and create academic opportunities for students.
Professor Dr. Paisarn Muneesawang, Chair of the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Electrical and Computer Engineering (International Program), shared his ideas for the future development of the program. He emphasized the importance of cultivating highly capable graduates and researchers who can adapt to emerging technologies, address global challenges, and remain competitive in the international arena.
This collaboration marks another significant milestone for the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, in promoting interdisciplinary integration, strengthening academic excellence, and advancing curriculum and research development to international standards.
