On August 24, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, welcomed Mr. Richard Thomas, Director of International, and a Senior Lecturer from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia, during his visit to the Faculty. The visit provided an opportunity to exchange information and discuss potential avenues for future academic collaboration between the two institutions.
The welcoming delegation was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication. Other members of the delegation were Assistant Professor Dr. Konlakorn Wongpatikaseree, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering; Dr. Supun Tiptipakorn, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering; and Associate Professor Dr. Ittiphong Leevongwat, Deputy Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering. The representatives exchanged ideas on education, research, and opportunities to strengthen academic engagement between the two institutions.
The meeting marked an important opportunity to connect the expertise and potential of Mahidol Engineering and UQ, particularly in electrical engineering, computer engineering, and related technologies. Potential areas of collaboration include teaching and learning, research, student and staff exchanges, and the development of international academic projects. The University of Queensland also maintains extensive global partnerships with academic institutions and organizations worldwide, supporting education, research, and global impact.
