On August 24, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, hosted a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with Dr. M. G. R. Educational and Research Institute University, India, at Room R210, Building 1, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University. The MOU aims to promote collaboration in education, research, and knowledge exchange between the two institutions at the international level.
Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, with Associate Professor Dr. Teraphan Ornthammarath, Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, welcomed the delegation, led by Dr. K. Balasubramanian represented Er. A. C. S. Arun kumar, President of the Dr. M. G. R. Educational and Research Institute University. The representatives exchanged information and shared ideas on the academic strengths and potential of their respective institutions.
During the ceremony, Dr. K. Balasubramanian presented his vision and objectives for the collaboration between the two universities. Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon delivered a welcoming address and expressed the Faculty’s commitment to advancing educational and research collaboration into meaningful and tangible outcomes. The ceremony then proceeded with the formal signing of the MOU, witnessed by administrators and faculty members from both institutions.
This collaboration marks another important step for the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, in expanding its network of international academic partnerships. The MOU is expected to create opportunities for student and staff exchange, joint research initiatives, and international learning experiences. It will also contribute to improvements of educational quality and will give graduates the skills needed to succeed in the global workplace.
