On September 21, 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication at the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, attended the opening ceremony of the 2026 Tengchong Scientists Forum (TSF) Bangkok Conference. She listened to the keynote addresses delivered by senior executives and experts from Thailand and abroad. The conference, which was held from 20-22 September 2026, at the Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel, provided an international platform for the exchange of knowledge and allowed collaboration in science, technology, and innovation.
Representatives from Mahidol University attending the opening ceremony included Professor Dr. Piyamitr Sritara, President of Mahidol University; Professor Chagriya Kitiyakara, MBBS (Lond), FRCP, Vice President for Research; Professor Dr. Napraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council; and Assistant Professor Dr. Jetsada Arnin, Assistant to the President for Education.
The conference was jointly organized by Mahidol University, Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), the Tengchong Scientists Forum Organizing Committee, and the CAS Innovation Cooperation Center (Bangkok). The event aimed to increase academic collaboration, research partnerships, and innovation development among educational institutions, government agencies, private-sector organizations, and leading institutions from around the world. The program featured keynote speeches and panel discussions by prominent scientists, executives, and experts from various countries. Topics included Artificial Intelligence (AI), life sciences, advanced technologies, and innovation for sustainable development. The sessions provided participants with the opportunity to exchange views, share expertise, and explore approaches to translating research into practical applications with global impact.
The participation of Mahidol Engineering reflects the ongoing commitment of the Faculty to strengthening international academic and research partnerships while keeping pace with emerging technologies and trends in innovation. The collaboration will support the development of new knowledge and solutions that can contribute to the economy, society, and to the future development of Thailand.
