On October 1, 2026, the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, hosted a Welcome & Farewell Party at the International Zone, 2nd Floor, Building 3 of the Faculty. The event celebrated those who were graduating in 2025 and welcomed new students for the 2026 academic year. The event generated friendship, warmth, and cultural exchange within the international community at Mahidol Engineering.

The event was officially opened by Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, who congratulated the graduates on their academic achievements. Faculty executives also delivered welcoming remarks and shared words of encouragement. These executives included Assistant Professor Dr. Wasaporn Techapeeraparnich, Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs; Associate Professor Dr. Teraphan Ornthammarath, Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering; and Professor Dr. Chettiyappan Visvanathan, Global Talent Professor. Their remarks offered valuable insights and encouragement to graduates and to incoming students as they each begin the next stage of their academic and professional journey.

Representatives from the graduate programs in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering and Civil Engineering also shared their experiences and expressed gratitude to their academic advisors. The event included a souvenir presentation to graduates of the international master's and doctoral programs. The Dean and Faculty members congratulated them on their accomplishments. The ceremony highlighted the dedication and achievements of the graduates, and demonstrated the bonds they had developed with their professors and the university community.

The celebration continued with activities designed to strengthen the connections between students. It included introductions of new students, student performances, a lucky draw, and a musical performance by a postdoctoral researcher. The event ended with a group photo featuring executives of the Faculty, professors, graduates, and students, capturing the spirit of unity and belonging within Mahidol Engineering. The gathering reaffirmed the Faculty’s commitment to development of an inclusive international community: building lasting academic connections that support future collaboration and shared success.
