On October 14, 2026, a delegation from the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Associate Professor Dr. Warakorn Charoensuk, Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, visited the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in Taiwan to exchange knowledge and explore opportunities for academic and research collaboration.

During the visit, the delegation discussed potential areas of cooperation between the two institutions. These included joint research initiatives and the exchange of academic staff and students. The delegation also toured the laboratories at ITRI to learn about technology and innovations in biomedical engineering and to exchange research experience. The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Jo-Ping Lee, Mr. Yu-Yuan Chen, and Dr. Ming-Ya Hung from the ITRI Biomedical Technology and Device Research Laboratories.

The visit marks an important step toward strengthening institutional relationships: expanding international academic and research networks. It also provides opportunities for both institutions to build on their expertise, advance biomedical engineering technology and innovation, and to support future developments in science and technology.
