On January 31, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Krissada Asavaskulkeit, Deputy Dean for Academic Services and Policy Advocacy, participated in the signing of the memorandum of understanding for academic cooperation with Khun Phasawan Sangkhasuban, Director of the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth). The signing ceremony occurred at Innogineer Studio, 1st floor, Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University. The event included a discussion on the pathway to creating research and innovation results for commercial and social use. Participants in the discussion included Asst. Prof. Dr. Krissada Asavaskulkeit, Deputy Dean for Academic Services and Policy Advocacy, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yotchanan Wongsawat, Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (iNT), Khun Phasawan Sangkhasuban, Director of the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), and Dr. Eakkachai Warinsiriruk, Head of the UVC sterilization robot research and development project, Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Jetsada Arnin, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communications of the Faculty of Engineering.
The objective of this memorandum of understanding for academic cooperation is to jointly promote, support, and expand knowledge, products, innovations, and the use of technology in public health and the medical device industry. It aims to leverage resources and capabilities in alignment with the main missions of both agencies to achieve maximum benefit both commercially and socially. This collaboration is expected to lead to public policy initiatives that will guide every sector of society in the future in tangible ways.
