The Faculty of Engineering is now open for the submission of applications to the Bachelor of Engineering Program in Chemical Engineering (International Program) for Direct Admission to the Faculty, for Academic year 2021. The Faculty of Engineering hereby announces details on admissions as follows:

2. Admission Requirements
2.1 The applicant must achieve one of the academic qualifications as follows:
2.1.1 The applicant is currently studying or has graduated from Mathayom 6 in a Science-Math program.
2.1.2 The applicant is currently studying or has earned a High School Certificate of Grade 12 in accordance with the American education system.
2.1.3 The applicant is currently studying or has earned a High School Certificate for Year 13 in accordance with the British Education System.
2.1.4 The applicant has earned a Diploma or a certificate equivalent to high school education certified by the Ministry of Education, Thailand.
2.2 The applicant must meet one of the following requirements (2.2.1 to 2.2.7) for Academic Achievement Standards:
2.2.1 Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPAX) of no less than 3.00, and Grade Point Average (GPA) for Physics or Chemistry no less than 3.00.
2.2.2 SAT 2 Subject Test: Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry with a score of at least 550 for each subject.
2.2.3 GCE A-Level: Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry with a grade of at least ‘C’ for each subject.
2.2.4 ACT: A score of at least 21 averaged over all subject.
2.2.5 International Baccalaureate (IB): Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry with a score of at least 5 for each subject.
2.2.6 National Common 9 Subject Test in Thailand: Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry at least 30% for each subject.
2.2.7 National PAT Test in Thailand: PAT1 and PAT2 or PAT3 at least 30% for each subject.
2.3 The applicant must meet one of the following requirements (2.3.1 to 2.3.10) for English Proficiency Standards:
2.3.1 IELTS Academic Test at least 5.0
2.3.2 TOEFL Paper-based Test (TOEFL-ITP) at least 500
2.3.3 TOEFL Internet-based Test (TOEFL-iBT) at least 64
2.3.4 MU Grad Test (Computer-based) at least 70
2.3.5 MU-ELT at least 84
2.3.6 TOEIC at least 600
2.3.7 ACT (English & Reading) at least 21
2.3.8 SAT 1 Reasoning Test at least 1,000
2.3.9 SAT 2 Subject Test: Literature Subject Test at least 400
2.3.10 National Common 9 Subject Test in Thailand: English Subject at least 50%
Note: International Standardized, National Standardized, and English Proficiency examinations in Section 2.2 and 2.3 should have been taken no more than 2 years prior to the interview date.
2.4 The applicant must have no health conditions which may interfere during the period of education.
3. Supporting Documents
3.1 A copy of the most recent transcript showing the applicant’s grades in 4 semesters or 6 trimesters based on the Education System
3.2 A copy of certified diploma or a certificate showing the completion of high school degree or equivalent approved by the Ministry of Education of Thailand (For applicants who have already graduated from high school or passed the equivalency exams)
3.3 A photocopy of the identification card and house registration (Thai residents only) or a photocopy of passport (Non-Thai applicants)
3.4 1x1 inch, front-facing photograph
3.5 A photocopy of a change of name/last name certificate (only if different from name/last name in the documents required for application)
3.6 A copy of official report for Academic Achievement Standards according to Section 2.2
3.7 A copy of official report for English Proficiency Standards according to Section 2.3
3.8 Statement of Purpose (only 1 page of A4-size paper with 200-300 words), expressing the purpose of studying Chemical Engineering and your future career
3.9 Medical certificate approved by the public or private hospital of any country to certify that the applicant has no health conditions, which may interfere during education
The applicant must bring all original and/or copied documents and the original bank deposit slip on the interview day. All copied documents must certify that they are true copies of the original documents, signed and dated.

6. Selection Criteria
The Faculty of Engineering will make the final decision for admission according to the following criteria:
6.1 Academic knowledge assessed by Academic Achievement Standards and English Proficiency Standards (70%)
6.2 Interview score assessed by Personal Information, Education Records, Communication Skills, Initiative Skills, Intelligence, Extracurricular Activities, and Attitude (30%)
