Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University

On August 30, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Lecture Room 6374, Faculty of Engineering Building 3, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering invited Mr. Pakpoom Vanichkamonlann, Managing Director of SNP Posttension Co., Ltd., as a special guest lecturer. He delivered a talk on the topic “Posttension Slab Design.”

The department’s head, Associate Professor Dr. Theeraphan Onthammarat, along with Associate Professor Dr. Wannasiri Phanurai and other faculty members from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, warmly welcomed the guest.

All the students gained a wealth of knowledge and valuable experience from the lecture, which greatly benefited their studies. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, would like to extend their sincere thanks to Mr. Pakpoom Vanichkamonlann for taking the time to share his expertise with the civil engineering students.

On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the The event took place at Assistant Professor Dr. Thanakorn Ouanon Meeting Room (Room 6450), 4th Floor, Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.

The orientation provided students with information about the program, the academic path over the four years of study, and guidance on academic matters. The meeting with academic advisors offered an opportunity for students and faculty members to discuss university life and academic planning.

Additionally, there was an activity where the freshmen met with their department seniors and mentors, fostering familiarity and a sense of community. This helped to build strong relationships between the senior and junior students within the department.
